Pool hosted the rapper, along with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and West’s campaign worker Milo Yiannopoulos, on his podcast Timcast to discuss their controversial dinner with former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate last week.
Within the first few minutes of the interview, West addressed that he has been “labeled” an anti-Semite for comments he’s made over the past several weeks, including posts he made on Twitter that had him temporarily banned. West then continued to claim on Pool’s podcast that Jewish people were in control of institutions like banks and media companies, and that these institutions have been trying to target him.
Around 20 minutes into the conversation, after Pool repeatedly pushes back against West’s antisemitic claims, Ye exits the conversation. The clip of the exchange has been shared over Twitter by several accounts, reaching over 500,000 views in total as of Monday evening.
Greg Price, a senior strategist at the conservative consulting firm X Strategies, received nearly 320,000 views on his post alone. Price added in a following tweet that West told Pool’s co-host, Luke Rudkowski, that the pair “don’t believe in my truths” as he was leaving the studio.
The Surfs, a political commentary podcast, also shared a clip of West storming out of the studio, adding, “What the hell did Tim Pool think was going to happen?”
“The person who’s been spouting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories does more of it and the neo nazi backs him up,” read the post, which had received more than 200,000 views Monday evening.
Political commentator and Youtuber Dave Rubin also posted a clip from the interview, adding praise for Pool for “trying” to have a conversation with the crew.
“Fuentes is a racist little troll rat and Kanye is just lost and drunk on fame,” Rubin added. “Trump really screwed the pooch on this one.”
On Monday, Pool tweeted following the end of his live stream, “lol.”
West, Fuentes and Yiannopoulos met with the former president last Tuesday to reportedly discuss some of West’s “difficulties” surrounding business and, to a “lesser extent,” West’s plans to run for president in 2024, according to a Truth Social post from Trump last Friday.
Trump has since been repeatedly criticized for hosting West among his recent controversial statements as well as Fuentes, who has used his streaming platform to share antisemitic views as well as Holocaust denialists.
The former president also claims he didn’t know who Fuentes was prior to the meeting, something that West confirmed in Pool’s podcast Monday before leaving.
