While speaking at Turning Point USA’s America Fest in Phoenix on Sunday, Lake repeatedly made the claim that the election had been stolen from her. In addition to this, she complained about the media and how it treated former President Donald Trump.

The clip, which has so far been viewed more than 400,000 times, was posted on Twitter on Sunday by commentator Ron Filipkowski.

Speaking on Trump’s treatment, Lake said: “These b******* of the media want to drag him through the mud.”

Much to the delight of the crowd, Lake then stepped to the side of the podium and did the bras d’honneur gesture.

The gesture, which is also known as the Iberian slap or Italian salute, is regularly interpreted to mean “up yours” or “f*** you.”

In addition to this moment, another clip of Lake has gone viral on social media after the politician shared a video to her own Twitter page.

During her talk at the event, Lake insisted that, in a similar vein to Trump’s false claims that the 2020 presidential election had been stolen, Lake too was a victim.

On Election Day, Maricopa County voting centers experienced malfunctions with their tabulation machines. The machines were not correctly counting each vote and the uncounted ballots were to be collected and officially counted at a later time. This has added fuel to the conspiracy theory that the election was stolen from Lake.

The clip, which has been viewed more than 290,000 times, saw Lake argue that her pronouns are “I/Won.”

“On November 8 they committed highway robbery. Our movement is so powerful that they had to sabotage Election Day operations. They had to steal our vote in broad daylight and we all noticed,” Lake said.

“They didn’t have enough cheating two days after the election, they had to inject 25,000 more votes. These people are crooks, they need to be locked up.

“I think they knew when I got into office that is precisely what we were going to do with them. They called us all kinds of names. How many of you have been called election deniers?

“How about this? The media is going to have a heyday with this one.

“I know that right now we can identify as anything we want to identify as but I want you to know that I identify as a proud election denying deplorable, are you with me? And my pronouns are I/Won.”

Newsweek has contacted Kari Lake for comment.
