The Minneapolis-based bank paid $220 million for the naming rights — about one-fifth of what it will cost to build the stadium, according to Sports Business Daily. For comparison, Levi’s reportedly paid the same amount in 2013 for 20 years of naming rights at the 49ers’ new stadium.

The U.S. Bank deal was finalized in March but won’t be announced until next week, according to SBD. The company had been considered the favorite to land the sponsorship, the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports.

The $1.1 billion stadium is set to open in July 2016, with construction costs split between the team ($566 million) and city and state taxpayers ($498 million).
